Top Gun Movie Sequel Wants To Hold Your Hand Into The Danger Zone.
Held back by COVID since 2020, the movie sequel “Top Gun: Maverick” is finally on the big screen this summer.
While the original movie was known for fast war planes, island-size aircraft carriers, pilot competition, love stories and even volleyball?, the music may have been the ultimate star.
The original “Top Gun” soundtrack LP and cassette sold more than 9 million copies in the U.S. and spawned three hit singles, including Kenny Loggins’ #2 hit, “Danger Zone.”
The ramp up to the movie theater release of “Top Gun: Maverick,” has begun and music is leading the promotion parade. The new movie’s love theme, “Hold My Hand,” written and performed by Lady Gaga, was released weeks before the theater openings to build on the anticipation.

The movie’s star, Tom Cruise kicked off the promotion of “Top Gun: Maverick” by piloting a helicopter to the red carpet premier event aboard the USS Midway Museum in San Diego. A very appropriate, over-the-top, Tom Cruise entrance for this movie and its fans.
